ICANN is honoured to announce the recipient of the 2019 Multistakeholder Ethos Award is long-time member, Kurt Pritz.
The selection panel of representatives from ICANN Supporting Organizations and Advisory Committees recognized Pritz’s dedication. They have also recognized his ability to achieve consensus among groups with disparate views and priorities.
This award honours members of the ICANN community. It honours those who have invested in consensus-based solutions. Besides that, they should also have contributed in a substantive way to policymaking within the ICANN ecosystem.
Pritz recently chaired a working group mandated to resolve one of the most significant issues in the ICANN community, a replacement framework for WHOIS. In addition to his work with the Expedited Policy Development Process (EPDP) on Temporary Specification for Generic Top-Level Domain (gTLD) Registration Data, Pritz has also participated in other ICANN working groups and Policy Development Processes such as the New gTLD Subsequent Procedures Policy Development Process.
Pritz is a management consultant. He is a former ICANN organization employee, serving in a number of senior roles between 2003 and 2012.
