Hello! In 2012, Aly first met her husband-to-be, the director of photography Stephen Ringer. The two met while working together on the set of the independent romantic comedy Sequoia, which won an award.

Over a year after Stephen proposed in July 2014, they were married in Portofino, Italy, in front of their nearest and dearest.

She gave her Instagram followers a glimpse of her wedding day in a touching one-year anniversary tribute to her spouse, despite the fact that the couple kept the ceremony private. “Happy one-year anniversary baby this was truly the best day ever,” she captioned a collage of photos.

“What an incredible group of friends and family we have that came all the way to Italy to share in our special day. You are my king.” Then again, who is Stephen Ringer? I’ll explain it here!

Who is Stephen Ringer?

Stephen, who was born in Dallas, Texas, rarely shares pictures of himself online, but his model frequently does. It’s actually pretty adorable that his Instagram feed is almost exclusively made up of pictures of his wife.

Aly has previously admitted to Elle that Stephen had also influenced her writing. In actuality, Aly and her sister’s 2017 album, Ten Years, should be dropped, and Stephen advised so.

“My husband encouraged us to come back to music. He saw us singing and writing around the house so he encouraged us to get back out there and write music and perform … [Finally] we just said, ‘OK, let’s give this one last go,'” she told the magazine in 2017.

The husband and wife team has worked together on a number of projects. Among them is the Stephen-written and -directed 2015 comedy-drama Weepah Way for Now, whose main females were Aly and AJ.

Aly & AJ’s music videos for the songs “Hothouse,” “Slow Dancing,” “Beautiful Places,” and “Joan of Arc on the Dance Floor” were also directed by Stephen.
