Bobby Fulton Updates After Hospitalization: Dillion Hines, the son of wrestling icon Bobby Fulton, revealed his father’s hospitalization on Saturday.

Tweeted Hines, “I took my dad back to North Carolina for the weekend, but we had to rush him to the emergency room one hour into the trip. Dad has double pneumonia and sepsis, the doctors said. You should remember him in your prayers. Thanks! -Dillion “

Hines followed up his initial tweet by posting: “The next 2 days are absolutely crucial. Wishes the doctors a lot of luck, and that they’ll be able to help Dad.”

In December of this year (2019), Fulton said he had been diagnosed with throat cancer. In June 2020, he was declared cancer-free; however, a month later, he was hospitalized once more due to cancer’s return to various places in his throat. In November of 2021, he underwent surgery to remove a growth from his throat.

After a professional wrestling career that began in 1977, Fulton announced his retirement in the summer of 2020. WCW, the Mid-South, Jim Crockett Promotions, Smoky Mountain Wrestling, and Stampede Wrestling are just some of the territories that Fulton has competed for.

For their tag team, Fulton teamed up with Tommy Rogers to become The Fantastics. As a tag team, they won multiple championships from the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), including the NWA Mid-America Tag Team Championship, the NWA United States Tag Team Championship, and the NWA American Tag Team Championship.

In 1990, he also founded James Hines Presents Big Time Wrestling, a wrestling promotion. The next event in the promotion will take place on October 15 and it is still going strong.

There will be a lot of big names in wrestling there, including Kane, Jake “The Snake” Roberts, Lex Luger, Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake, Demolition, “Cowboy” Bob Orton Jr., Erik “Repo Man” Redbeard, Baby “Doll” Cameron, Buff Bagwell, and “Repo Man” Brutus “Repo” Redbeard.
