Bobcat is Removed From a Car’s Front Grill by Wisconsin Deputies
In central Wisconsin, the Portage County Sheriff’s Office reported that a bobcat had to be removed from a car’s front grill.
Sheriff Mike Lukas tweeted a video of the incident on Wednesday, calling it “a first” for him. Three deputies arrived, according to Lukas, when someone claimed that a bobcat had entered their car.
“As you can imagine the shock they were in when low [sic] and behold there was a bobcat in the vehicle,” added Lukas. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources’ expertise was eventually required.
“My deputies are really good at solving problems but this one baffled them so we called in reinforcements with Conservation Warden Bryan Lockman. As you can see on the bodycam footage Warden Lockman was a pro at getting the critter out,” Lukas said.
Lockman can be seen in the video removing the bobcat from the car’s grill and hurriedly loading it into a truck. The animal, according to Lukas, was later returned to the wild.
