This shouldn’t come as a surprise. One of the most valuable ‘Ganja’ or cannabis related domains, Kush.com has sold for a whooping $500K. The transaction was brokered by veteran broker Dave Evanson, who announced it on his twitter handle.
Dave is a celebrated broker at Sedo, a premier domain name marketplace. Going by whois records, it seems that the seller was Gregory Kush from Florida, who was a successful real estate broker. The seller is currently unkown as the domain has moved under privacy.
Kush is one of the most valuable names in cannabis industry. According to wikipedia, kush is a strain of cannabis indica. The origins of Kush Cannabis are from landrace plants, with the name coming from the Hindu Kush mountain range.
The domain should have sold in excess of $1 million, according to some domainers, so it would be interesting to see who the buyer is.
