CenterPoint Properties has grabbed a 145,144 square-foot logistics facility at 1080 Leggett Avenue in the Hunts Point section of the Bronx.
The firm purchased the asset in cash deal for $116.5 million from a joint venture among Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Blumenfeld Development Group (BDG).
JLL Capital Markets represented Goldman and BDG in the sale. The JLL team headed by Andrew Scandalios and Rob Kossar.
Goldman and BDG, doing a nice return on their original investment in the property, as the duo purchased it for just $38.5 million in May 2019 from Advantage Wholesale Supply.
1080 Leggett Avenue lies on nearly five acres next to Interstate 278 (Bruckner Expressway), just a few minutes away from the northern limits of Manhattan. The property meets boundaries of the CSX Transportation’s Oak Point Yard railyard.
The property itself wears 18 loading docks, four drive-in bays, 22-foot ceiling heights, and onsite parking.
