Clash at the Castle: WWE Match Card, Rumours

Clash at the Castle

Clash at the Castle

Clash at the Castle, WWE’s next PPV, will take place in Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, on September 3, 2022. When was the last time this promoter put on a large stadium performance in the UK? It’s been 30 years.

A little over three weeks remain until the big event, and here’s how the lineup looks thus far:

Roman Reigns (c) vs. Drew McIntyre (d) for the WWE Universal Title

Finally, after many weeks of trying his hardest, McIntyre was able to secure his spot in the main event of this night by defeating Sheamus in a Good Old Fashioned Donnybrook match. He reportedly has a back issue, but it shouldn’t prevent him from playing in this game. Carrion Kross has come back to inject himself into the situation, but there have been rumblings that he would not be added to the match.

Liv Morgan (c) vs. Shayna Baszler, SmackDown Women’s Title

Morgan won unfairly, while Ronda Rousey was punished for abusing the referee. This week on SmackDown, a Gauntlet match was staged to determine a new top contender, and it was Baszler who came out on top. Last week they finalized the deal with a contract signing, and Rousey continues to loom huge in the background.

Bayley, Dakota Kai, and IYO SKY take on Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, and Asuka

Becky Lynch turned babyface to defend the reigning Raw women’s champion against the re-emergence of Bayley, Kai, and SKY, however, she was injured in her bout with Belair at SummerSlam. With Lynch out of the picture, Belair found new allies in Bliss and Asuka, and now the two teams will face off in a six-woman tag bout.

Although the conclusion of the Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament has not been announced, it is possible that a portion of the tournament’s finals will be included in this show. It’s not like anything else is happening right now to make you want to watch the show more.
