Federal Polytechnic of Ile-Oluji officially partners with a few foreign universities

Earlier in the week, in a bid to boost the academic excellence of students of its institution in the field of technology, entrepreneurship, and innovation, the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State announced that it would be forming a partnership with a few selected foreign universities.

Through this deal, the Polytechnic, founded in 2014 by the Federal Government, also announced that it would be able to create many creative and innovative graduates for technological advancement.

As per reports, the deal was disclosed by The Rector of the Polytechnic, Prof. Emmanuel Fasakin, in a meeting with journalists in his office earlier on Monday, October 29th, he also said that the polytechnic is quite optimistic regarding the deal and believes the collaboration would play a massive role in enlarging the scope of the polytechnic locally as well as globally.

Speaking on the collaborations, Prof. Fasakin said, “An agreement has been made with Auburn University in Alabama, United States of America. The University has also agreed to provide all the necessary assistance in the field of agriculture. And in addition to that, an agreement has also been made with the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, Tallahassee for assisting with the agricultural technology and engineering.

Fasakin then said, “For assisting us with supply e-learning, e-library and various other modern equipments to improve the learning base of students, we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Baton Rouge in Louisiana, USA,” further adding, “ Through these MOU’s with these reputed universities, we aim to develop many diversified hubs for young start-ups to help them develop their skills in different areas.”

The Rector of the polytechnic concluded by saying, “We also have collaborated with Soteria Global Solutions Limited, owned by an indigene of Ile Oluji. The organization has already planned to build a 604-room capacity hostel for both female and male students of the Polytechnic, a fuel depot as well as a shopping mall.”
