On Friday, May 19, funeral services for Jordan Neely will be held in New York City.
On May 1, the 30-year-old victim passed away as a result of a chokehold that was applied to him by Daniel Penny, a former US Marine sergeant, while the two were riding the F train in Manhattan.
A criminal court in Manhattan, New York, formally accused Mr. Penny, age 24, of manslaughter a few hours after he turned himself into the authorities.
Neely, who was homeless, was found to have d!ed from compression of the neck, according to the findings of a medical examiner.
The attorneys for Mr. Penny have stated that their client did not intend to ki!! Neely.

Bayonne, New Jersey is where Neely spent his childhood.
After his mother was ki!!ed in 2007, Neely’s attorney Donte Mills stated that Neely had become a skilled street performer to cope with the pain he had experienced.

At the funeral for Mr. Neely, which will be held at Mount Neboh Baptist Church in Harlem and is likely to be attended by hundreds of people, the Reverend Al Sharpton will deliver a eulogy.
The burial service for Mr. Neely’s mother will be led by the same clergyman who will preside over his own benefit.
