Season four, which premiered in October 2010 and lasted 24 episodes, will conclude with these eight episodes.

An exciting trailer for the climax was released by AMC, giving us one of our last glances at Caryl before the showdown between Commonwealth Governor Pamela Milton (Laila Robins) and Lance Hornsby (Josh Hamilton).

On stage with Reedus, McBride, Payton, and Morgan for the final Walking Dead panel at SDCC were Christian Serratos, Ross Marquand, Seth Gilliam, Josh McDermitt, Michael James Shaw, Cailey Fleming, and Lauren Ridloff.

Additionally, franchise chief content creator Scott Gimple, showrunner and executive producer Angela Kang, and multi-hyphenate Greg Nicotero were there.

Since the global COVID-19 epidemic halted production on the eleventh season in October 2020, AMC had to reschedule the conclusion.

Part one of Season 11 (the first eight episodes) aired from August 22nd to October 10th, 2021, and Part two (February 20th to April 10th), respectively.

The series, which has been airing for 12 years and is based on a comic book series created by Robert Kirkman and Tony Moore in 2003, has lost viewers over the years, but this final season is not the end of the franchise’s run on AMC.

On August 14, a spin-off series titled Tales of the Walking Dead will debut.

Isle of the Dead, which will center on Maggie Greene and Negan, is also set to premiere on AMC in 2023.

Both a Rick and Michonne spinoff and an untitled spinoff featuring Reedus as Daryl are in the works after McBride’s departure from the show in April.
