George Jules “Jake” Bequette III, an infantry officer in the United States Army and a former defensive end for the American football team, was born on February 21, 1989. He participated in Operation Inherent Resolve while serving in Iraq.

The Patriots chose him with the 90th overall pick in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft. In addition to being a collegiate athlete, he played football for Catholic High in Little Rock, Arkansas, and the University of Arkansas.

Bequette was regarded as a promising defensive end prospect in that year’s draft. He ran a poor campaign for the Republican nomination in the 2022 Arkansas Senate race.
