Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted s*x trafficker, allegedly blackmailed Bill Gates and threatened to disclose his claimed affair with a Russian bridge player.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the late pedophile threatened to reveal the Microsoft co-founder’s alleged connection with Mila Antonova if Mr. Gates did not reimburse Epstein for tuition for the woman’s attendance at a software coding school.
After failing to recruit the world’s fourth-wealthiest man to participate in a multibillion-dollar charity fund that Epstein intended to establish with JPMorgan Chase, the tale goes, Epstein emailed blackmail threats to Mr. Gates in 2017.
The shocking discovery lends credence to long-held suspicions that Epstein was extorting his robust network of allies.
According to the WSJ, the message implied that Epstein could divulge the affair if Mr. Gates cut off communication between the two guys.
“Mr Gates met with Epstein solely for philanthropic purposes. Having failed repeatedly to draw Mr Gates beyond these matters, Epstein tried unsuccessfully to leverage a past relationship to threaten Mr Gates,” A Gates Foundation spokesperson to the Journal confirmed this.
The Microsoft co-founder allegedly met Ms. Antonova in her twenties, about 2010. She mentioned meeting Mr. Gates at a bridge competition and playing against him in a YouTube video that year.
“I didn’t beat him, but I tried to kick him with my leg,” claimed Ms Antonova in the video.
Ms. Antonova sought funding to start an online bridge tutorial business. Boris Nikolic, a close adviser to Mr. Gates, introduced her to Epstein.
Ms. Antonova and Mr. Nikolic visited Epstein in November 2013 in New York City at his townhouse, where she reportedly requested $500,000 for her plan to “promote bridge by creating quality tutorials for beginners and advanced players.”
Epstein did not invest in her proposal, although she did stay in one of his New York apartments a year later. Later, he found Ms. Antonova’s enrollment at a school for computer programming.
While working to establish her initiative, Epstein attempted to develop his philanthropic fund with JPMorgan, which would need the multi-billionaires to contribute at least $100 million.
Ms. Antonova told the Journal she was unfamiliar with Epstein before their meeting. “I had no idea that he was a criminal or had any ulterior motive,” she remarked about Epstein.
“I just thought he was a successful businessman and wanted to help. I am disgusted with Epstein and what he did.”
The bridge player did not mention Mr. Gates.
Epstein was accused of s*xually abusing juveniles as young as 14 in 2006 and pleaded guilty to recruiting a minor for prostitution in 2008.

A so-called “sweetheart deal” allowed him to serve only 13 months in j@il and return to work during the day.
For years, rumors circulated that Epstein had been blackmailing his wealthy acquaintances.
The Netflix documentary Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich, released in 2020, stated that the late pedophile had installed surveillance cameras in his Manhattan home as part of a “blackmail scheme” to extort his powerful allies.
According to Virginia Giuffre, Epstein assured her, “people owe me favors and I’ll never get caught and I can get away with it.”
Author Dylan Howard claimed in his 2019 book Epstein: Dead Men Tell No Tales that Epstein was a Mossad spy after being introduced to the Israeli intelligence agency by Robert Maxwell, the father of his longtime partner Ghislaine Maxwell.
According to the book, Epstein and Ghislaine enticed essential politicians and celebrities to his estate and recorded them having s*x with young females.
Authorities have never confirmed the existence of the tapes.
Former Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, billionaire Les Weiner, and Prince Andrew were all part of Epstein’s network.
All have categorically denied any conduct or knowledge of criminal activity.
After Epstein was convicted of s*x crimes, Mr. Gates allegedly began meeting with him. According to the New York Times, the pair met at least three times at Epstein’s Manhattan townhouse starting in 2011.
“Mr Gates never had any financial dealings with Epstein. As Bill has said before, it was a mistake to have ever met him,” Mr Gates’ spokeswoman informed The Independent.
His ex-wife, Melinda French Gates, stated that the secret Epstein encounters had a role in their divorce in 2021.

Ms. French Gates told CBS News 2022 that she met Epstein because she “wanted to see who this man was,” and “regretted it from the second I stepped in the door.”
She called Epstein “abhorrent” and “evil personified,” and said the meeting gave her nightmares.
According to the WSJ, Epstein intended to use the charitable fund to rehabilitate his reputation.
Epstein attempted to portray himself as a close adviser to Mr. Gates in emails addressed to JPMorgan executives.
“In essence, this [fund] will allow Bill to have access to higher quality people, investment, allocation, governance without upsetting either his marriage or the sensitvities [sic] of the current foundation employees,” In an email from August 2011, Epstein stated the following.
The following day, he followed up with a letter saying: “Bill is terribly frustrated. He would! like to boost some of the things that are working without taking away from those that are not [sic].”
After JPMorgan officials had completed preparations for a presentation in October, Epstein sent them another email in which he said, “After the firm has finished preparing for the presentation, “the presentation, is not tailored to [Bill]. He is the only person, the only one, that counts”.
A JPMorgan spokesman said: “The firm didn’t need him for introductions. Knowing what we know today, we wish we had never done business with him.”
