The Characters of Puss in Boots The Last Wish and the Actors Behind Them!

Puss in Boots Cast

Puss in Boots Cast

With the aid of a voice cast made up of A-list celebrities who played both new and recurring fairy tale characters, the animated sequel Puss in Boots: The Last Wish surpassed its predecessor in many respects.

The 2022 movie, a spinoff of the Shrek series, comes out immediately after the Puss in Boots feature picture from 2011 (as well as a 2012 animated short and an animated series from 2015 to 2018). Puss in Boots: The Last Wish received an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Feature, just like its predecessor.

This was appropriate for the lead voice cast, featuring three other Oscar nominees and an actor who won an Oscar. Only two of the first Puss in Boots’ voice performers returned to perform in the sequel, with Antonio Banderas as the title character’s swashbuckling cat.

In the follow-up, Puss battles a variety of adversaries as he searches for the Wishing Star to revive his exhausted life, including a very lethal primary antagonist. He runs into an old flame and a new best friend.

As is customary for the Shrek films, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish includes several extra supporting fairy tale figures, including two recurrent parts in the series from the start, and each piece is superbly cast. To know more about cast members stay tuned with us.

Puss in Boots, played by Antonio Banderas (Desperado), was first seen in Shrek 2 (2004) and quickly rose to the top of the series’ most recognizable characters.

Puss first encountered Shrek (Mike Myers) and his companion Donkey (Eddie Murphy) as an assassin ordered to k!ll them, but soon became friends with the pair and has since appeared in every subsequent Shrek movie, clearly drawing inspiration from Banderas’ tenure as Zorro in The Mask of Zorro (1998).
