From Houston to Hollywood
Riff Raff, real name Horst Christian Simco, was born in 1982 in Houston, Texas. His mother was a maid, and his father was a war veteran who had some post-war troubles.
His parents didn’t have much money, so they had to work multiple jobs to make ends meet. Riff Raff is one of many siblings, and his mother’s family is German.
He attended Langham Creek High School and played basketball there until his senior year. He did this since his father was diagnosed with tonsil cancer and his parents divorced. They settled in Duluth, Minnesota.
Riff Raff earned his GED and went on to play basketball at Hibbing Community College in Minnesota. But in 2003, he dropped out of college and returned to Houston.
