Suspect Arrested in M*rder of Arizona's Lauren Heike

In connection with the ki!!ing of Lauren Heike, who was discovered de@d on April 29, Phoenix police have detained a guy. Firefighters declared the 29-year-old de@d after discovering her traumatized corpse in a barren region.

Police advised everyone to “be aware of your surroundings.” “If a hike or walk is in your plans, do so with a partner. If you see something suspicious call police and be a good witness,” they said in an initial news release.

Phoenix Police shared on Twitter:

The day after Heike’s de@th was discovered, on May 2, the police department published a brief security camera footage that showed a figure sprinting in the vicinity.

They provided another update on Thursday, stating an arrest had been made. Less than a mile from where Heike’s body was discovered, the 22-year-old suspect was apprehended at his apartment in Scottsdale, according to police, according to Arizona station AZ Family.

Through the use of his DNA, investigators were able to connect the crime to the suspect, who they believe is the individual in the published video. Zion William Teasley, who was arrested and charged with first-degree m*rder, was named as the culprit by AZ Family, which obtained video of the incident.

“Right now, he is the person that we believe to be responsible or in connection to the m*rder of Lauren Heike,” Sgt. Melissa Soliz said at a news conference on Thursday.

“Our detectives are going to ensure that every piece of evidence is looked at carefully, every angle and give their full effort on this case,” she said. “We’re hoping that the community can rest a little easier knowing this person is off the streets.”

Here are some further updates that are similar to this one:

Investigators said that Heike was att@cked from behind while hiking on a route at around 10 a.m. on Wednesday at a press conference with the police department and Heike’s family.

Heike’s mother called her “a sweet child” and said she was “beautiful inside and out.” She claimed that Heike, a native of Washington state, was new to the region and adored it.
