Tampa, Florida, has bestowed Taylor Swift with two significant accolades as her The Eras Tour is about to come there.
Swift has been given the opportunity to serve as honorary mayor of Tampa for one day, and the city’s official mayor, Jane Castor, has also given Swift the key to the city.
On Thursday, April 13 through Saturday, April 15, the Florida city will be visited by the Eras Tour, which will perform three gigs at Raymond James Stadium. Tampa is following suit and raising the bar after earlier towns on the tour showered Swift lavishly.
“We know Glendale changed its name, Arlington made a street sign, and Vegas illuminated their Gateway Arches, but here in Tampa, we’ve got a reputation to uphold,” Castor said in a video message to the star. “We want to go bigger. So I want to present you with a key to the city and invite you to be our honorary mayor for a day.
“Mayor Swift has a nice ring to it. We can’t wait to welcome you and your fans to Tampa (Taylor’s Version).”
Tampa will honor The Eras Tour in additional ways in addition to the dual invitation from Castor. In honor of the concerts, the Old City Hall, the Tampa River Walk, and the downtown area’s bridges will all have crimson lighting.

Swift performed two gigs in Glendale, Arizona, in March, to launch The Eras Tour. Each show lasted over three hours and featured a 44-song lineup and 16 wardrobe changes.
The artist has been switching out songs from the playlist during the tour with the goal of performing a different surprise tune at each stop.
The final of five dates will be held at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on August 9, marking the end of the Eras Tour. The complete list of remaining dates is available on Swift’s official website.
