Toby McKeehan, better known by his stage name TobyMac (sometimes spelled tobyMac or TOBYMAC), is an American singer, rapper, songwriter, and record producer who was born Kevin Michael McKeehan on October 22, 1964.
He first gained notoriety as a member of the Christian rap and rock group DC Talk, which he was a part of from 1987 until its breakup in 2000.
Since then, he has maintained a flourishing solo career, releasing eight studio albums, including Momentum (2001), Welcomes to Diverse City (2004), Portable Sounds (2007), Tonight (2010), and Eye on It (2012).
This Is Not a Test (2015), The Elements (2018), and Life After Death (2022), as well as five remixed albums, including Re: Mix Momentum (2003), Renovating Diverse City (2005), Dubbed and Freq’d: A Remix Project (2012), Eye’ (2019).
Christmas in Diverse City (2011) and Light Of Christmas are his two full-length Christmas albums (2017). With Eye on It, he became the third Christian musician to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
