Siragusa had many risk factors for a heart attack, including a family history of heart disease and a history of losing and regaining weight repeatedly during his lifetime.

His father died of a heart attack at the age of 48, while in his son’s arms. Siragusa once told Howard Stern in an emotional interview that he was aware of his own mortality and that he wanted to die with a smile on his face.

What Did Tony Siragusa Do in His Career?

Siragusa, who was nicknamed “The Goose”, played in the NFL for 12 seasons, from 1990 to 2001. He spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Indianapolis Colts, where he became a fan favorite and a leader on defense.

He then joined the Baltimore Ravens as a free agent in 1997, where he helped the team win its first Super Bowl title in 2000. He was a key part of the Ravens’ record-setting defense that year, which allowed the fewest points in NFL history.
