Trace Adkins Illness: Has He Been Battling With Cancer?
Tracy Darrell Adkins is a country music specialist and American actor. Dreamin’ Out Loud, his 1996 CD released by Capitol Records Nashville, was his big break.

Trace has not been diagnosed with cancer, but he has been admitted to a rehabilitation center in the past for his alcoholism. Aside from that, Trace seems to be in good health. The news of his friend Toby Keith’s stomach cancer, though, had been making the rounds on social media. His ex-wife shot him, though, and he had open-heart surgery.
In 1992, the singer decided to give music another shot and relocated to Nashville, but he was soon surrounded by controversy. After relocating two years earlier, Adkins was shot and killed while trying to subdue Julie Curtis, his second wife, following a violent altercation that had escalated from an argument over his drinking. He had previously divorced Lewis in 1990. He needed open-heart surgery right away because the bullet went through his heart and lungs.

An Update on Trace Adkins’ Health
Adkins says he has conquered his urge to drink, despite returning to rehab after a 2014 brawl on a cruise. He credits his daughters, grandchildren, fourth wife Victoria Pratt, 51, whom he calls a “angel,” and his daughters with keeping him physically and mentally healthy. “Victoria cooks really healthy stuff, and she makes me drink kale smoothies,” he says. On top of that, I have a lot of physical obligations around the house. I am overjoyed.
Even though he’s seen better days, the vocalist is grateful to be alive and well. He remarks, “I’m lucky to be here still; it’s been a crazy ride.”
Who Is Trace Adkins Married To?
Four marriages were in the life of American singer Trace Adkins. In 1982, Trace tied the knot with Barbara Lewis. He wed his classmate and college roommate in his first marriage. Tara (now 39 years old) and Sarah (now 37 years old) were the daughters of this couple. They decided it was not working for them and filed for a divorce.
Julie Curtis was his wife before he became famous. From 1991 to 1994, the happy couple were wed for three years. During an argument, Trace’s wife shot him. During their argument, Julie shot him, sending the bullet straight to his organs. Right away, he had to have surgery, but he made a full recovery. The couple decided to end their marriage after this incident.
The third marriage for Trace Adkins was to musician Rhonda Forlaw. They tied the knot in 1997 and now have three little girls. Modeling and music were two of his daughters’ interests. They eventually finalized their divorce in 2015.
