Caitlyn Jenner was born on October 28, 1949, in Mount Kisco, New York. Caitlyn is a well-known media personality and a former decathlete who won an Olympic gold medal. In April 2015, she declared herself transgender and changed her name from William Bruce Jenner to Caitlyn Jenner.

The status of Kris Jenner’s relationship with her ex, Caitlyn Jenner, is being updated. Although Caitlyn’s transition was initially “a great shock,” Kris revealed that they are now friends in a recent interview with Robin Roberts for the ABC News series The Kardashians.

“We’re fine. We’re friends. I see her when she’s at a family thing. It’s settled down a lot,” Kris told Roberts. “I think it was a big shock.

It’s a scary thing to go through, because you know nothing about it,” she continued. “It’s a subject that I never thought I would have to directly deal with, confront, be understanding about something that I didn’t understand.”

On a recent appearance on the Full Sent podcast, Caitlyn expressed a similar viewpoint and described her relationship with her family as “OK.”

“My relationship with the family is, you know, fine. I mean, we do things together, my kids, this and that. I just had my 20th grandchild a couple weeks ago and that’s my son, Burt, the oldest son,” she shared.

She acknowledged that she is closest to daughters Kendall and Kylie but claimed that of all the Kardashian offspring, she gets along with Kim the best.

“Of course, when you have 10 kids, you have different relationships with all of your children. Obviously, Kendall and Kylie, my flesh and blood, I’m very close to them. On the Kardashian side, I see them here and there, but I’m not really close,” Caitlyn admitted.

“Kim is probably the closest. My other side, my other kids, my sons, Brandon, Burt, the whole group, they’re all there.” Kris and Caitlyn separated in 2014, but the former Olympian, now 72, did not publicly reveal her transition until 2015.

Caitlyn continued to appear on Keeping Up With the Kardashians until 2021, even though it took the family some time to adjust to their new normal. She also starred in the two-season documentary I Am Cait, which focused on her gender change.

On television, their friendship developed as it did, and in a KUWTK episode from April 2021, Kris was seen offering Caitlyn guidance on launching her own YouTube channel.

“Over 10 years I did the show. I enjoyed doing the show. It really brought my family close together,” she shared. “We’ve been through a lot together. I have some of the best conversations with my kids on camera. It was a great experience.”
