She thought she was alive mainly for two reasons after surviving. One was to try something new, and the other was to spend as much time as possible with her children. Jenn had previously taken an interest in hiking, trekking, and climbing after moving to Utah in 2015. She took her child’s 2020 Everest climbing mission very seriously.
She had initially agreed to take on the challenge in an effort to uplift her children’s spirits. Still, she soon went above and beyond when her coach advised her to attempt to break the world record by scaling the second-highest mountains on each continent.
