Jayson Tatum, an NBA star, is a proud father to a unique boy. During Tatum’s rookie season in the NBA, on December 6, 2017, he welcomed Jayson “Deuce” Christopher Tatum Jr. with his high school girlfriend, Toriah Lachell.

He’s grown close to Tatum’s teammates as well, and in March 2022, he even struck Marcus Smart behind during a game. “Deuce is always trying to attack me any time I come around him,” Smart claimed to The Boston Globe. It’s just the way he is. “That’s just who he is. We all love Deuce.”

Additionally, Grant Williams of the Celtics revealed to the publication that he and Deuce have a “love-hate relationship.” There are days, he said, “There’s days where he comes in, gives me a hug, says, ‘What’s up?’ and daps me up. There’s other days where he looks at me crazy, kind of gives me a mean mug, punches me a few times, and keeps it moving.”

Deuce has accompanied his father to numerous games, including one in May 2023 where the youngster participated in a kids’ dunk competition and got to know the dog performing at halftime.

He Likes Dressing Up and Creating Music

Over the years, Tatum has posted numerous images of his son on social media. The famous forward uploaded a Snapchat video of the father-and-son team performing karaoke in February 2021. He posted a picture of Deuce playing a bespoke drum set in December. His name was displayed on the set in the recognizable Boston Celtics colors and typography.

His father also posted pictures of him wearing his superhero outfits and toys. For Halloween, he dressed up as numerous superheroes, including Buzz Lightyear and Jack-Jack from The Incredibles.
