Following her discovery of death on Sunday night in her $1.3 million New York City apartment, Brooke Gomez’s death was attributed to “chronic alcohol use,” according to the reports.

Reportedly, Gomez’s body was discovered on Sunday night in an “advanced state of decomposition,” which is even more shocking.

According to sources, Frankel’s interior designer passed away more than a week before her body was found, and Edie, Gomez’s cherished Brussels Griffon dog, lived on the 49-year-old’s remains for more than a week while she was left alone.

The superintendent of the apartment building where the interior designer died away is rumored to be planning to adopt the dog, and Gomez’s dog, Edie, is reportedly “totally fine.”

“The dog is totally fine,” one friend of the deceased said. “The super’s wife is adopting her. Everyone thought to keep the dog’s environment as normal as possible, that this was the right thing to do.”
