Colton Underwood Wedding: His and Jordan C. Brown’s Magical Wedding Celebration
Colton, 31, a former contestant on The Bachelor and Coming Out, wed Jordan C. Brown, 38, in a small ceremony on Saturday at the Carneros Resort and Spa in Napa Valley.
A family dinner and welcome party were held on Friday night to begin the three-day celebration, which Ashley Smith Events organized. On Saturday morning, the wedding celebrations officially started.
“The day of our ceremony, we have a disco-themed pool party,” Underwood gave an exclusive interview to PEOPLE just before the nuptials. “It’s going to be a fun wedding,” he adds, “I’ll say that!”
Both of them donned custom-made suits by Tom Ford for the big day. As a reference to the outdoor setting of their wedding, Underwood wore a dark green dress and her political strategist husband wore a blue suit.
“We wanted trees around and sunshine,” said Brown. “It was really important for us to get married outside.”
As guests arrived for the wedding, they were greeted by a gorgeous photo exhibit the couple had set up.
“One thing that’s really important to both of us is that we’ve created this, we’re calling it ‘our loving walk,'” says Underwood, who participated in episodes of The Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise, and The Bachelor before coming out as homos*xual in a 2021 interview on Good Morning America.
“It’s inspired from a coffee table book that I was gifted after I came out called Loving and it’s images of men in love throughout history. We blew them up and put them on canvases and set them around the resort,” he says. “Next to them will be love letters from queer people in the 18th and 19th century that were forbidden or they had to send in secret.”
Added Brown: “It’s really cool. It helps us to pay tribute to the people who paved the way for all same-sex couples who now can get married.”
The couple exchanged rings and heartfelt vows as they went down the aisle before partying with friends and family at the reception.
“We wanted to break some of the traditional norms of what a ceremony and a wedding look like,” said Underwood. “And for the entire weekend, we recognize that a lot of people attending, both of our families and some of our friends, this will be their first queer wedding. We really want to make it special.”
The pair planned for Stanford University’s creative swimming team to perform in the pool as guests left the wedding as a nice surprise. ‘We wanted to keep the energy going,” stated Brown. “I like to host and bring people together. It’s our wedding, but it’s also a three-day party that we are throwing for our nearest and dearest.”

Salads, vegetables, steak, salmon, and pasta were served to the guests family-style during the reception. Brown describes the couple’s signature 21 Seeds Tequila cocktails, including two drinks with cucumber and jalapeno infusions to honor the couple’s canines Scout and Zooka. “And lots of spicy margaritas,” Brown adds.
After heartfelt toasts, the newlyweds—who gave their guests Privé Revaux sunglasses—cut into little wedding cakes. At the same time, other treats included “the best chocolate chip cookie you ever had,” according to Brown, and miniature lemon meringue pies.

In “The Good Ones” by Gabby Barrett, the couple performed their first dance as a unit. Underwood declares, “We love it.” “It’s just one of those songs that both remind us of each other and special to us.”
Underwood had no trouble falling in love with Brown.“I’ve never been more sure about something. He has the biggest heart and he’s such a good friend to all of the people in his life. He goes out of his way to take care of his friends and his family. That speaks volumes. It was one of the first things that I noticed about him.”
The couple first connected at a party in Los Angeles in April 2021 and were engaged in Big Sur, California, in February 2022. According to Underwood, their connection developed in a “very natural and organic way.” Brown continues, “We just both had a gut feeling.”
Underwood says he feels fortunate to spend every day with his partner as the couple now celebrates the joyful milestone.
“I love the family that we’ve created already,” said Underwood. “Having our two dogs and our home and this wedding, we’ve really created a life that feels so compatible and in sync.”
