In the 2003 season, he continued his career by playing and starting all 16 games for Dallas. In 2004, he played in just three games; in 2005, he played in all sixteen.

Campbell had 25 receptions for 235 yards and two touchdowns in 35 games (30 starts). Thanks to his success, Campbell was able to sign his highest-paying contract with Detroit, which he honored in 2006 with a career-high 308 yards.
