Kourtney Kardashian And Travis Barker Marry In California Due To Family Circumstances
The pair made sure to get married close to home because two of Kourtney Kardashian Barker and Travis Barker’s loved ones couldn’t attend their opulent wedding in Portofino, Italy.
The couple said on their Death Do Us Part Kourtney & Travis wedding special on Hulu Thursday that family played a significant role in their decision to have a second ceremony at a Santa Barbara courthouse. The couple first wed in a headline-making Las Vegas wedding at the One Love Wedding Chapel on April 4, 2022.
Since they could not attend their destination wedding abroad, Kourtney, 43, revealed that Travis’s father Randy Barker, and her grandma Mary Jo “MJ” Campbell attended their courtroom ceremony.
“My grandma and your dad being the only people there because they couldn’t fly to Italy,” Kourtney said.
Travis, 47, chimed in, “That was as traditional as everybody else’s wedding could’ve been. Everything, the car, convertible Cadillac, cans on the car, Santa Barbara was special.”
Following the incident, the pair posted pictures to their Instagram accounts, including black-and-white images of them walking down the courtroom stairs together and another picture of them posing next to Randy and Mary Jo.
The couple’s May 15 courthouse ceremony delivered the legal paperwork required for their Italian wedding.
One week after saying “I do” in Santa Barbara, Kourtney and Travis remarried in a lavish ceremony in Portofino in the presence of their six children and loved ones. Mason, 13, Penelope, 10, and Reign, 8, are the three children Kourtney has with her ex-husband Scott Disick.
