Sheryl Sandberg Weds US Businessman (Latest News)
Sheryl Sandberg Weds US Businessman: Sheryl Sandberg, a former COO at Meta, weds Tom Bernthal, a businessman, in a small ceremony in Wyoming on Saturday. Mr. Bernthal founded the consultancy business Kelton Global and previously worked as a producer for NBC News.
The famous pair shared an adorable photo of themselves holding hands and laughing on a gravel road in the woods to announce their wedding on Instagram. Ms. Sandberg kept the caption short, writing only “Married” and a slew of heart emojis.
But Mr. Bernthal preferred writing out a lengthy explanation. In an interview, the businessman, who is also the brother of actor Jon Bernthal, stated, “After both enduring losses, Sheryl Sandberg and I weren’t sure we would ever find love again.
Our families had become one after we were married for three years. The wedding we had today was truly a fairytale.
Mr. Bernthal makes reference to the couple’s prior marriages in the caption. The CEO of SurveyMonkey, Dave Goldberg, who was married to Ms. Sandberg and died in 2015 at age 47, was a man he met and married. As an aside, Mr. Bernthal’s first marriage ended in divorce.
Unlike Mr. Bernthal, who has three children from a previous marriage, Ms. Sandberg has two children with the late Mr. Goldberg. The five kids were reportedly all at the wedding party, thanks to People Magazine.
Mr. Bernthal said of his blended family, “It is our wedding as the seven of us.” When asked to elaborate, Ms. Sandberg said, “We keep repeating, ‘We’re all getting married.'” They got engaged in February of next year.
In 2019, Ms. Sandberg and Mr. Bernthal were introduced by Mr. Goldberg’s brother, Rob Goldberg. In addition to performing the ceremony, he also took on the role of co-priest.
Ms. Sandberg said earlier this year that she would be leaving her position as COO of Meta in the latter part of 2022. As of the first of August, Javier Olivan has taken over for Ms. Sandberg as chief operating officer.
Till September 30th, she will be working for Meta. Ms. Sandberg has stated that following this, she will devote more time to her “foundation and humanitarian activity” while continuing to serve on the board of directors.
