Tulsa King Season 2 Latest News: Will the Yellowstone Series Returns?

Taylor Sheridan has been hard at work making new crime thriller universes and steadily expanding the boundaries of his Yellowstone TV universe with many spinoffs and prequels that follow the long and murderous history of the Dutton family.

In the prison town drama Mayor of Kingstown, which is coming back this year, he introduced Jeremy Renner as Mike McLuskey the previous year. With the crime thriller Tulsa King, which he and Terence Winter made together and in which action movie legend Sylvester Stallone makes his first major TV appearance, Sheridan has scored another success.

Executive producer David Glasser said before the release of Tulsa King:

“There is no better team to tell this story of a fish-out-of-water mobster than Taylor Sheridan and Terence Winter. “Their talent behind the camera, paired with the iconic Sylvester Stallone, will deliver a thrilling look at a man who prioritizes loyalty and family over all else, and is now taking stock of his life and grappling with the choices that have brought him to Tulsa.”

At the start of the series, Stallone plays Dwight “The General” Manfredi, a mafia capo from New York City who is released from jail. Then, his bosses send him to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he has to start a new business for the Invernizzi crime family.

Mafredi’s illegal activities are backed by drug dealer Bodhi (Martin Starr) and a former bad guy turned ally, Manny (Max Casella). Mafredi also wants to date Stacy, played by Andrea Savage, but he doesn’t know she is a retired ATF agent.

On November 13, 2022, Tulsa King’s pilot episode made its premiere on Paramount+, and on January 8, 2023, the ninth and final episode of the first season did the same.

Given that Yellowstone has already given rise to two spin-offs with more in the works, Taylor Sheridan is in the business of creating entire universes, so there is a perfect chance that Tulsa King will also produce a spin-off in the future. Paramount Global streaming chief Tanya Giles told Indiewire, adding:

“The huge success we’ve had with Tulsa King and Sylvester Stallone opens up possibilities with Taylor Sheridan, who consistently, his mind works in terms of universes and backstories, so I think there’s always a possibility that there’s more to that universe and more to that story. “More to come there.” Sounds promising!

The Family Stallone, a reality series that follows Sylvester Stallone, his wife Jennifer Flavin Stallone, and his three daughters, Sophia, Sistine, and Scarlet, was also ordered by Paramount+ as a result of Tulsa King’s success.

This isn’t precisely a spin-off, but it’s safe to say that Tulsa King’s popularity had something to do with it. This spring, Paramount+ will premiere the eight-episode series.

Tulsa King Season 2 Release Date

We’ll update you as soon as there are any announcements or hints of a launch date. The Season 1 finale premiered on January 8. Even though it was first announced in December 2021, the first season won’t come out until November 2022.

Based on when Season 1 came out and that Taylor Sheridan’s projects tend to move quickly, we think that Season 2 will come out in November 2023. Maybe later; probably not sooner (but still sooner).

Tulsa King Season 2 Storyline

Season 2 will likely pick up following Dwight’s arrest. However, what will happen is unknown. He has legal problems now that he didn’t have in Season 1, which opens up new story possibilities. That simmering issue will likely explode hugely next season because we don’t think Chickie will let Dwight disrespect him and leave the family so lightly.

Will Tulsa King Return for Season 2?

Fans of Sheridan and Stallone will be happy to hear that Tulsa King will be back for a second season. Paramount+ renewed the show in November 2022, only three episodes after it debuted on their platform.

Who Will Be in the Cast of Tulsa King Season 2?

In Season 2, Stallone will reprise his role as Manfredi. The other members of the main cast—Martin Starr as Bodhi, Andrea Savage as Stacy, Max Casella as Manny, Jay Will as Tyson, Domenick Lombardozzi as “Chickie” Invernizzi, Vincent Piazza as Vince, Garrett Hedlund as Mitch, and Dana Delany as Margaret—are also anticipated to do the same.

What Will Tulsa King Season 2 Be About?

There is a fair probability that Tulsa King may end up launching a full slate of related spinoffs built either around the Oklahoma locale or the Invernizzi criminal empire. Plot details are currently being kept tightly under wraps.
