Why Did Scheana And Shay Break Up? She Opens Up About the Heartbreaking Moment She Knew It Was Time to End Her Marriage!

Many Vanderpump Rules viewers were shocked by Scheana and Mike Shay’s decision to divorce since their union appeared to flourish this season. But in a recent interview with E! News, Scheana is more candid than ever about why she chose to end her marriage with her husband after just two years of wedlock.

Scheana admitted that her marriage had problems from the beginning. “There were many things from the beginning of our marriage that kind of tainted the whole relationship. Three months in, I found out he had a pill problem. Right before our one-year anniversary, I saw some inappropriate text messages,” Scheana shared.

“Then, fast forward to our second anniversary, and I’m just trying to pretend like everything’s fine because in my mind, we’re married—for better or for worse.”

In 2016, Scheana’s situation improved, and she remarked that “everything was genuinely good.” But then Scheana began to worry that Mike was abusing once more.

“My mom and other people around me had noticed a change in his behavior,” she said. “I was either oblivious to it or I just didn’t want to believe what I was seeing right in front of my face.”

After Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney-Schwartz wed in August 2016, Scheana and Shay on a second honeymoon in Hawaii. However, their difficulties awaited them when they returned to Los Angeles because Shay  “was always in the studio and I was always at home alone.

We were growing apart more and more,” Scheana explained. “Towards the end of October, he just didn’t come home one day.”  But, Scheana wasn’t even considering divorcing at that time.

“I had never considered getting a divorce whatsoever because I took our vows very seriously,” Scheana said. “This was the ‘for worse’ part. I just thought that we would be able to get through it, because he was still my best friend.

We had so much fun together. I felt like all of those things would outweigh the bad, and eventually, we’d pick ourselves back up and be fine.”

Shay denied Scheana’s accusations when she confronted him about allegedly picking up his drug use again, but she believed he wasn’t being completely truthful. Scheana learned that Shay had resumed purchasing pills two days before their emotional discussion in the Vanderpump Rules finale.

Scheana understood at that point that divorcing was her only choice. “I was like, ‘I’m now done. I’m done. I’m done. Nothing at all can change my mind. I was willing to forgive you after you left me and try to move past that, work through it, start over, become best friends again, and do all of this.’ I was still willing to try,” Scheana explained.

“The second I found out he was still lying to me—and had been for six to eight months—I was done.”According to Scheana, staying married to someone she didn’t trust was not an option for her.

The following Articles is similar to the one you just read:

“How can we ever have a real future when I can’t trust you? You’re lying. You’re stealing. It was just one thing after another that I kept forgiving, but then something worse would happen. It became just unforgivable at that point,” she said. “I couldn’t ever move forward with him when so much trust had been broken.”

Scheana and Shay announced their divorce in November. “Even though we have taken the painful decision to go our own ways, our tale will go on thanks to the love and respect we have developed over the course of our 15-year friendship. The Vanderpump Rules couple released a statement saying, “

Much of the recent conjecture and reporting on our relationship has been misplaced, and we have reached an amicable resolution on all subjects. Despite the fact that our marriage may have failed, we are dedicated to flourishing as friends. We will continue to encourage each other’s success in their personal and professional lives.

Shay and Scheana stayed in touch while going through their divorce. “Things have been pleasant for the most part,” Scheana told The Daily Dish in January. “Maybe we can become friends someday.”

After sitting down with Shay at the Vanderpump Rules reunion this season, Scheana admitted to Us Weekly that she wasn’t quite ready to become friends.

We’re not talking as much as we used to, she observed. As we were filming the reunion last week, I did see him. Hopefully, one day we can be friends again. But for now, I believe it’s beneficial to have some solitude.

Scheana has started a new relationship and found her “happy place” with Robert Valletta in the months since announcing her divorce. The two recently took vacations in Holland and Maui.

Also, they made their red carpet debut at the Power Rangers movie premiere, and earlier this month, they made their Instagram romance official.
