Why Will Be Bofuri Season 2 Episode 7 Release Date Delayed?
BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Wounded, so I’ll Max Out My Defense is facing a delay in episode publication. The anime’s official website announced that the seventh episode in the currently airing second season would be postponed by two weeks.
This is owing to issues associated with COVID-19, making BOFURI the latest anime to struggle due to the pandemic’s persistent influence. The seventh episode of BOFURI was intended to air on February 22. However, it is the episode that will be delayed.
Rather than lose two weeks’ worth of television time, the anime will re-broadcast its first episode instead, then the second episode the following week on March 1. Ultimately, the new seventh episode will debut on March 8, 2023. BOFURI is based on a light novel series by Yuumikan.
The anime’s first season came out in January 2020 and was broadcast simultaneously by Funimation. The second season began showing in January 2023 and had been streaming via Crunchyroll, complete with an English dub. BOFURI is a comedic anime about a VRMMORPG player who puts all her stats toward defense and becomes one of the top players in the game without any speed or magic.
BOFURI’s delay is due to COVID-19, specifically in China. A segment of the anime is being produced in China, which is being hit with wave after wave of the virus yet again. Owing to this, production of the episode unavoidably slipped behind, leading to this two-week delay. That is not the only anime this season being touched by the pandemic.

The COVID-19 delays also affect Uncle from Another Planet, Ayakashi Triangle, Nier: Automata Ver1.1a and Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible. For BOFURI fans, it is lucky that the delay is only temporary for the time being because some of these anime are going on an indefinite sabbatical rather than merely being delayed.
