The husband of missing Dee Ann Warner, Dale Warner, is accused of killing her. Tuesday marked the arrest of a suspect, according to Michigan State Police. In a text message, Lenawee County Prosecutor Jackie Wyse stated that on Tuesday afternoon, she had issued the warrant for Dale Warner’s arrest. He faces accusations of tampering with evidence and open murder.

A press release with more details will be released following the suspect’s arraignment, which is set on Wednesday, Nov. 22, in Lenawee County District Court, according to a state police post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“It’s almost impossible to feel like it’s real,” Dee Warner’s brother, Gregg Hardy, said Tuesday. “It seems surreal, so to speak, and the fact that 2 1/2 years of work … it’s been very much an uphill battle.”

The case’s ups and downs, according to Hardy, are what gave rise to the surreal sense surrounding Dale Warner’s arrest. “Every time we’ve had something that seemed positive, we’ve been set back by something negative,” he stated.

On Sunday, November 26, at 2 p.m., there will be a rally in support of Dee Warner at the historic Lenawee County Courthouse in Adrian’s downtown. According to Hardy, the purpose was to draw attention to the case because neither an arrest nor a death certificate had been made.

Hardy stated that the family will determine what they want to do with the demonstration now that Dale Warner has been arrested. By Wednesday, November 22, he added, they should know what they’re going to do, and the community will be informed of their plans.
