A Virginia Man Drowns In Near Duck Lake, North Carolina

According to police, a Virginia man was discovered dead and drifting in the ocean near Duck, North Carolina, on Friday evening.

The Duck Fire Department, Duck Surf Rescue, and Dare County EMS responded to Buffell Head Drive at 5:41 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 2, after receiving reports of a person floating face down in the surf.

Bystanders had already begun hauling the victim out of the water before first responders arrived. Despite the efforts of Duck Fire and Dare County EMS, the 57-year-old man died on the spot.

The individual has been identified as a visitor from Virginia by police, but his name not yet reveal. The probe is still going on.
