Reprisal Season 2: To Be Renewed or Canceled?

Reprisal debuted on Hulu in 2019 and garnered a lot of positive reviews. It has only one season, and unfortunately, we won’t be getting any more seasons of Reprisal because Hulu has reportedly cancelled the show. But what were the reasons behind this abrupt cancellation? Fans were left heartbroken after the cancellation news came out because the show had a lot of potentials. 

Even though the actors are adamant about working for Reprisal Season 2, it seems like the creators are not interested in continuing with the project. Reprisal is a fantastic story about a woman who survives a murder who refuses to let this attempt go unnoticed. Dorris chases the gang who planned it, and now she is after them to take revenge. The first season was full of action and drama, and it was inarguably one of the finest shows in the history of Hulu. 

However, if you’re one of the disappointed fans, we got your back! Reprisal Season 2 is not coming out, but we can still assume its plot. Moreover, in the past, too, many shows have been picked up after being cancelled. But what we need for its renewal is the fans’ strong and organized plea. Once the creators are sure that the show has a strong fanbase, we might get the good news of confirmation real soon. Well, up till then, let’s discuss the potential outcomes of Reprisal Season 2.

Reprisal Season 2 Release Date 

As mentioned earlier, Reprisal season 2 is not confirmed. Moreover, we shouldn’t be waiting for a premiere date because the show is cancelled. However, if the showrunners decide to rewrite the show’s fate, then we can expect it to release sometime in 2022. But these are just our baseless assumptions, so it is better not to expect anything. 

The showrunner Madison took it to Instagram to announce the heartbreaking news. His caption reads:

“So I recently received the official news that @reprisalonhulu will not be getting a season 2. While I’m unfortunate that we won’t be able to continue to build this wonderful world created by @bustershontis, I’m also so proud of the work that we did!! This is such an incredible cast of people, and I can’t wait to work with them again. Thank you all for watching.”

Reprisal Season 2 Plot

The first season of Reprisal was all over the place. It followed a strong storyline which got quite overwhelming over time. Reprisal Season 2 will also focus on Dorris, but other aspects of her life will be explored now only if the show gets renewed for a second season.

Not much can be said about the second season’s plot because pretty much everything got covered in the first one. If the sequel is to come then, the writers will have to come up with something new but equally as enjoyable.
